This beautifully 3 arced hand carved Rajasthani sofa bench with panel is inspired by the furniture of the Maharaja’s court of Rajasthan, with their wooden arch benches. This unique Rajasthani day bed features delicately carved 3 arced panel and matching arm rests. The arms are carved on both sides with fine floral jaali pattern. They are made in a village outside of Udaipur in Rajasthan, India.
The front panel and the arm rests of this mehrabi jaali teak traditional sofa are delicately hand carved as well, in a floral leaf pattern. This day bed is crafted from reclaimed Sheesham/ mango wood additionally beautiful hand carved floral jaali design on both the arm rests. Every detail has been careful carved into the entire love seat.
We use all treated and dried wood for our furniture. first the carpenter artisan joints available blogs to make a wide blog of required size. After that carving artisan make sketch of the required design and start carving with different more than 20 type Chisels. A experienced artisan only knows which chisel used for what carving. They make all the these small chisel with hands to get a perfect durable sharp tool. This is also a art to make a particular chisel.
After the carving work, now the carpenter joints the different parts and then the furniture piece takes the shape. Now the painters starts their work. first sanding with different no. of sanding papers depends on the shape and size of carving. After that different coats of spirit base fillers and required stain. finally 2 coats of PU for shinning and make it weather proof. Then the upholstery work will be done.
